Resource Area For Teaching:
Resource Area for Teaching provides creative ideas, affordable project materials, pre-packaged activity kits, one-on-one mentoring, and professional development for educators who believe in the power of hands on teaching. RAFT is able to collect a wide range of surplus materials from over 1,000 local businesses. These items fill an entire warehouse and they range from computers, art supplies, science glassware, math counters, paper products, and so much more! By transforming the learning environment, RAFT helps close the achievement gap and helps students apply their knowledge to a real world environment. We serve educators who teach in the classroom, in afterschool programs, camp programs, scouting, and homeschooling.
