Event Description:
Due to COVID-19 One Brick cannot organise group events. However, in case you were wanting to help volunteer in the community with a friendly face we are posting events where One Brick EM's and/or volunteers will be present! Note you MUST RSVP DIRECTLY WITH SECOND HARVEST HERE https://www.shfb.org/give-help/volunteer/volcalendar-general/! Spots fill up fast, but there's often last minute drop outs so check in 1-2 days prior if the event is full on Second Harvest calendar when you read this.
What we'll be doing:
The primary responsibility of a Food Sort Volunteer is to prepare food for distribution by verifying, sorting, labeling, and repacking food items at one of our two distribution centers (Bing Center in San Carlos or Cypress Center in North San Jose). Training is provided at the beginning of each shift. Sorting opportunities run two to three hours and are generally two to four times per month in the evenings and on Saturday mornings. Unfortunately, we do not offer food sort volunteer opportunities at the Curtner location.
What you should know:

Bring your own mask, wear long pants, and closed toe shoes. No flip-flops, shorts or capris allowed.
