Event Description:

Help out at this fun Summer-themed 5K race through the streets of Cambridge.  The race starts and ends in the Central Square area.  The race benefits the Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School Boys and Girls Track teams.  After the race, enjoy a fun post-race party with live music and drinks from Cambridge Brewing Company

What we'll be doing:

One Brick Boston volunteers will be assisting with the following tasks:
 
Bib Pickup and Registration:  Help check in runners for the race and give them their bibs and race shirts
Bag Check: greeting runners, organizing bags after they are dropped off, helping runners pick up bags after the race
Timing Company Assistance: Assist race timing company with recording manual times as back up; training to be provided before the race starts.
 

What you should know:

Registration starts at 5pm and the race begins at 6:30pm.  After the race, all volunteers are invitted to the post-race party which will include a live band, beer and cider from Cambridge Brewing Company, and food/snack vendors.  Drink tickets will be provided to volunteers.

All volunteers will also receive a long sleeve tech shirt.

 

Where to Meet:

Please meet at 5:00pm at the registration area which will be in the area around 64 Sidney Street and University Park Commons in Cambridge.  Central on the Red Line is the closest MBTA stop and is a 5-10 minute walk away.  A number of local buses also serve Central Square.  The event manager will provide more information on the meeting location closer to the date of the event.

More details will be provided in a reminder email sent out the week of the event.  Please be on time!!  Volunteers who arrive late should contact the event manager (contact information will be in the reminder email)

Cambridge Classic 5Ks operate Fast and flat seasonal 5Ks through the streets of Cambridge. Races include sweet swag and an epic post race party!
