Event Description:
Earth Celebrations’ Ecological City is a cultural and environmental action project culminating in a 6-hour procession on Saturday, May 9 from noon-6pm, connecting local initiatives to city and global climate challenges. The day-long ecological urban pilgrimage features giant puppets and spectacular costumes and musical bands with 20 site performances celebrating the myriad climate solutions being designed and implemented throughout the community gardens, neighborhood and East River Park waterfront on the Lower East Side of New York City.
Join Earth Celebrations’ Art-Build Workshops this Saturday to help create giant puppets for the Ecological City Climate Solutions Procession that will take place on May 9.

What we'll be doing:
During this workshop, we will be helping the artists in charge create the beautiful puppets that will be used during the procession on May 11th. Don’t worry if you aren’t artistic, there will be plenty of guidance and help on site!
