Event Description:

Join the Lenny Zakim Fund to celebrate the outstanding legacy of our treasured Executive Director, Jude Goldman, upon her retirement. In honor of Jude, we’re bringig together grassroots leaders, partners, funders, community members, and family to dance, learn, and rejoice in one another and our collaborative work advocating for equity and human rights in our communities. All proceeds benefit the grant program for the many grassroots nonprofits supported by the Zakim Fund. There is a 1969 theme.

What we'll be doing:

Volunteers will assist with logistical tasks. Jobs include greeting and providing direction to guests, registration assistance, and other related tasks. Orientation and directions will be provided on-site by the event planners.

What you should know:

Please dress in business attire and comfortable shoes.  More information will be provided by the event manager closer to the date of the event,

Where to Meet:

Please meet at 5:30pm at the Center for the Arts at the Armory, located at 191 Highland Avenue in Somerville, between Davis and Union Squares in Somerville, Massachusetts. A free 44-space parking lot is located behind the Armory.  Additional overflow parking lots are available with a shuttle provided to the event.

Because the Armory is located in a busy residential neighborhood, parking can be limited, and we strongly encourage you to carpool, take public transportation, ride your bicycle or walk. There are bicycle racks behind and in front of the building. Please do not lock your bike on the Armory railing.
 
Arts at the Armory is approximately a 15 minute walk from Davis Square which is on the MBTA Red Line. You can also find us by using either the MBTA RT 88 and RT 90 bus that can be caught either at Lechmere (Green Line) or Davis Square (Red Line). Get off at the Highland Avenue and Lowell Street stop. You can also get to us from Sullivan Square (Orange Line) by using the MBTA RT 90 bus. Get off at the Highland Avenue and Benton Road stop.
