Event Description:
Does your bowling ball have a unique ability to find the gutter when you hit the lanes? Doesn't matter! Come feel like a pro instead and play with some very nice young adults.

What we'll be doing:
KEEN athletes pair up with volunteers, and each lane will have a few athletes and volunteers. Volunteers get to bowl too at no cost. No embarrassing scores because the gutter rails are up! All the skills we need are lots of enthusiasm and encouragement.
KEEN is an organization that assists those with mental and physical disabilities who participate in this opportunity. It's going to be an amazing event!
Where to Meet:
Volunteers will meet their One Brick Event Manager inside the bowling alley, immediately inside the entrance.
KEEN Greater DC:
KEEN Greater DC (Kids Enjoy Exercise Now), is a nonprofit, volunteer organization that provides free one-to-one recreational opportunities for children and young adults with mental and physical disabilities. At each session, a participating Athlete is paired with a volunteer Coach for a variety of age-appropriate recreational activities. Founded in 1992, KEEN Greater DC is modeled on an innovative program developed in England.
KEEN Greater DC athletes have disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down's Syndrome, various intellectual and developmental disabilities. Unlike other recreation programs for individuals with disabilities, this organization provides an open, unstructured environment for people with any type of disability, including those with significant needs. For some of the children and young adults who are unable to participate in other programs, KEEN Greater DC may be their only recreational activity.
