Event Description:
The Allston Village Street Fair is a multicultural festival celebrating the rich diversity of Allston-Brighton residents, as well as residents in the surrounding neighborhoods of Boston, Brookline, Cambridge, and surrounding New England Areas.
The Allston Village Street Fair attracts more than 100,000 full time Boston area residents and students and provides a fusions of Music from 2 Outdoor Stages, an International Food Court, Family Entertainment Amenities, a Vendors Market, a public art Street Mural Area, Promotional Giveaways, and Fun!
Event proceeds benefit the Allston-Brighton Community. Each annual Allston Village Street Fair Festival supports the visibility of charities.
Supported Charities include the Music Drives Us Foundation.
What we'll be doing:
Volunteers will be helping with event logistics and event breakdown, which includes food/refreshment operation and breakdown, and other important logistical tasks.
What you should know:
Work gloves, Allston Village Street Fair t-shirts, and refreshments will provided for volunteers. Volunteers will also get a chance to enjoy the festivities.
Where to Meet:
The volunteer check-in table is located at 83-85 Harvard Ave. in Allston. The area is served by the #57 Bus from Kenmore Station, #66 from Dudley Station & Harvard Square, and the #64 from Oak Square and Central Square to Brighton Avenue/Harvard Ave. Bus Stop and the MBTA Boston College Green Line Trolley to Harvard Ave./Commonwealth Ave, and the MBTA Commuter Rail to Boston Landing. Walk 2 blocks to Brighton Ave./Harvard Ave. Look for the Refuge' Café on the Corner. Please note that free parking is also available in the City of Boston parking lot to the left in back of Blanchards Liquors on Harvard Ave. and on one side of Gardner Street. The Event Manager will provide more details about the specific meeting location as this event gets closer.
