Event Description:
The Salesian Boys’ and Girls’ Club is an amazing organization in the heart of North Beach that has been helping the youth of San Francisco for nearly 100 years. The Club provides afterschool, weekend, and summer enrichment programs such as sports, theater arts, music, tutoring, mentoring, field trips, and scholarship assistance. Every year, the Salesian Boys’ & Girls’ Club raises the cost of its operating expenses so that they can continue to provide these wonderful services to children of the community. They charge their members a mere cost of only $10 a year for services that cost the Club almost $1100 per child.
The Salesian Mothers’ Club is a group of women dedicated to supporting the Salesian Boys’ and Girls’ Club. Mothers’ Club members volunteer their time to provide needed support at Salesian Boys’ & Girls’ Club functions. The Mothers’ Club also organizes social events in which 100% of the profits are given to the Salesian Boys’ & Girls’ Club. In order to raise money for the Salesian Boys’ & Girls Club, the Salesian Mothers’ Club is hosting the third annual Salesian Beer & Food Fest. This fun event allows patrons to sample delicious beers and foods, enjoy music, play bar style games, and socialize for a worthy cause.
What we'll be doing:
Volunteers will help pour beer, serve food, and set up different beer stations.
What you should know:
Parking is available on the open lots of the school (but public transportation is recommended as always.) We will provide a volunteer shirt. Please wear comfy shoes and clothing you're ok with getting beer on (just in case.)
