Event Description:

The 2nd Annual Little Italy San Jose Street Festival will be held in San Jose's Little Italy. Italian Tenor Pasquale Esposito will be honored as the Grand Marshall in addition to his performance.

Nearly 10,000 people attended last year and we will be expanding and closing down a 2nd street.

Authentic Italian Cuisine, Well known Local Bands and traditional Italian Entertainment, Children's activities, Artisan Italian Arts & Crafts and info about future Italian Museum & Cultural Center.

What we'll be doing:

We will be helping out with Little Italy San Jose's festival in different booths (tickets/wristbands, pizza, beer/drinks, and volunteer). 

What you should know:

Dress in comfortable clothes. Volunteers will be provided a t-shirt, pizza, and a drink token. This event will be updated as more information becomes available. There may also be a small shift in the start/end time.

Where to Meet:

The Volunteer Booth is located in front of the YA Tittle Insurance building on N. Almaden Blvd across the street form Bel Bacio Cafe. 

Little Italy San Jose:

Little Italy San Jose is a 501(c)3 that has worked for the last 9 years to rebuild what is left of a 12 block Italian neighborhood in downtown San Jose. In the last nine years we have taken a blighted block and a half and opened businesses and flipped homes into residences. Our current focus is taking one of the old homes we have been able to purchase through donations and bring her back to life to become our museum and piazza area. Little Italy San Jose has become a destination in San Jose. The history of the area and the Italian people adds to the story of the diversity of San Jose. Every big city has it's Little Italy section and now San Jose does as well. Homes were boarded up and now four of them are residences. We are welcoming our fourth business in the next couple weeks, Enoteca Downtown -  a 6,000 square foot pizzeria/sports bar to go along with the Italian School for Pre-K and Kindergarten, Paesano Ristorante and Bel Bacio Italian Café. Our original fund raising efforts built the landmark LISJ Arch that stands on Julian and Pleasant St. at Highway 87. This museum project is about a 2.5 million dollar project in all.
