What we'll be doing:

Whether you love to knit (or crochet) or you'd like to learn -- this is the perfect event for you. We will be making hats and scarves for a local charity (TBD). If you would like to make items for other charities, that's okay -- feel free to join us anyway!

What you should know:

This is a hybrid One Brick Social / Volunteering event. While we do have a few experienced people who love to teach others how to knit and/or crochet, there are no formal training classes. We have quite a lot of donated yarn and a few extra crochet hooks and knitting needles on hand to get you started. Please feel free to bring your own supplies. We always welcome donations of yarn or knitting/crocheting materials to the One Brick Knits group.

  • In 2011 we donated 160 hats/scarves to Sunnyvale Community Services.
  • In 2012 we donated 180 hats/scarves to Sacred Heart in San Jose.

  • In 2016 we donated 200 hats/scarves to the SF At The Crossroads and 55 items to the Homeless Prenatal Program in San Francisco.
