Event Description:
Enjoy an afternoon of art activities and performances to welcome spring. Volunteers are invited to help with the free hands-on art activities or welcome visitors as a greeter We're expecting more than 300 visitors, so join in the fun and sign up today!
Activities are led by professional artists, art teachers, and volunteers. Children must be accompanied by an adult. All Family Days are free, thanks to the support of the Palo Alto Art Center Foundation.
What we'll be doing:
One Brick volunteers would help with the hands-on art activities for children, as well as set-up and clean-up of the activity stations.
What you should know:
What to Wear: Wear closed-toed shoes and clothes that you don't mind getting messy (though you will get an apron to wear also). Some activities may be outside, so you may want to bring a hat and light jacket.
Parking: Allow 15 to 20 minutes to park and enter the building. Please park in the neighborhood around the Art Center, as they need to leave the Center’s parking lot for the events visitors. There are also bike racks in front of the Art Center and at the library across the parking lot.
Food: There will be snacks in the Volunteer & Staff Lounge and there is a water bottle refilling station.
Note: There are a few lockers onsite but it's first-come, first-served. It is recommended that you leave valuables in the trunk of your car.
