Event Description:

Santa Saturday at Almaden Parents' Preschool (APPS) serves as the school's largest fundraising event. Children get to walk into a winter wonderland, play games, make crafts, take a picture with Santa, enjoy a raffle and auction, as well as eat with their friends and family.

 

What we'll be doing:

One brick volunteers will help run game stations that children can play. We will be responsible for giving small prizes and playing games with each contestant.

What you should know:

Free parking is available on site in the school parking lot. Volunteers may wear what they wish - RED Tshirts preferred.

Snack, lunch, and drink provided.

Where to Meet:

Front doors of the school, directly in front of the parking lot behind the Chinese Church in Christ (CCiC).

Almaden Parents Preschool:

Almaden Parents' Pre-school was founded in 1969 by a group of parents in south San Jose who wanted to participate in their children's early childhood education. They formulated a philosophy that was based on sequential development. The parents wanted to be there with the teachers to witness the discoveries and learning that would take place. Together, parents and teachers would create an environment that would be happy, safe, and secure so that the children could grow physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually. The school opened in September 1969 at its present location with 72 member families. APPS continues to develop the whole child through the dedication of its teachers and the active participation of parents.
