Once again One Brickers from across the country will be convening in New Orleans to assist is rebuilding activities almost 12years since Katrina, five years since Isaac and an EF3 tornado this year.  Many residents feel a huge sense of abandonment, as there is little support from the local and Federal government to help get their lives back to normal.

One Brick will be working with the incredible nonprofit organization: SBP (www.stbernardproject.org) and has provided a steady stream of volunteers since Katrina.

WHAT WE'LL BE DOING:

We won't know specifically what we will be working on until we arrive. However, no building experience is necessary, as there will be on-site training and supervisors there to help guide us throughout the week. Typical tasks include: hanging drywall, installing flooring, painting trimwork, and mold remediation. We work Monday through Friday, from around 8:30a.m. to about 4:30 p.m. Materials for pack lunches are available at breakfast, or you can try the local cuisine. Evenings are free for the volunteers to relax, or discover downtown N'orleans etc..

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:

We charge volunteers to attend this event. To guarantee a spot on the trip you can purchase a ticket by Clicking here

The $235 fee includes housing for the week, a welcome dinner on Sunday night, a mid-week dinner on Wednesday evening as well as food staples (breakfast, pack lunch, coffee, ...) for the house. This event always sells out. We recommend you purchase your place as soon as possible.

The $235 fee does not include: transportation costs, all other meals, outings, extras.

Trip ticket is non-refundable. However if you need to cancel 30 days or more before the trip, and you/we are able to find a replacement volunteer your trip ticket will be refunded. No refunds will be made for cancellations made less than 30days before the trip as this does not give us sufficient time to find a replacement volunteer.
