Event Description:
At the Biennial Dreams Happen Playhouse Gala and Auction, dinner guests will enjoy a moonlit supper, have a chance to bid on custom playhouses and dance the night away to live music - all under the stars at the Stanford Shopping Center. The auction will feature the talents of 14 local architects and builders who create one-of-a-kind, life-sized children's playhouses.
All of the proceeds raised through the auction of the playhouses will benefit Rebuilding Together Peninsula. Since its inception in 1993, Dreams Happen has raised over one million dollars for Rebuilding Together Peninsula.
What we'll be doing:
The restaurants from the Stanford Shopping Center will be donating food for the Dreams Happen Gala. One Brick volunteers will work with the restaurants to help them set up their tables. We will also serve the food.
What you should know:
The volunteer check-in is across from Signora's Market and has a white door. It is three stores down from Max's Opera Cafe and 2 stores from the Cocola Bakery. Please arrive a little early, if possible, to check in, get your T-shirt and get to the place you need to go.
Where to Meet:
Please wear dark pants and comfortable shoes. You can throw the "Dreams Happen" T-shirt on to show others at the shopping center that you are a volunteer. Bring a long-sleeved shirt or jacket, as the event is outdoors.
