Event Description:

North Lake is known as the largest of the three chain lakes. It is a quiet, irregularly shaped getaway with small islands creeping out of its shallow waters. Red-winged blackbirds and song sparrows still nest in the marshes, and during fall and winter mallards inhabit the open water of this lake, where they are often joined by double-crested comorants, pie-billed grebes, american coots, and a variety of gulls.

What we'll be doing:

One Brick volunteers with help with park beautification which may include removing non-native plants and general maintenance.

What you should know:

Tools, gloves, snacks and water will be provided. Wear closed-toe shoes, long pants and layers. Bring sunscreen, hat and/or rain gear. Event is rain or shine. Be sure to bring some money and join us after the event for food and more socializing!
