Event Description:
The American Heart Association invites you to participate in the Greater Washington Heart Walk here in our nation's capital. On November 5th, over 12,000 residents from the Metropolitan Washington DC area will come together on the National Mall to raise awareness and funds to help fight heart disease and stroke. Heart Walk is a wonderful opportunity for One Brick to get involved in the battle against cardiovascular disease. Activities including a health expo and entertainment begin at 8:30AM and the walk steps off at 10:00AM.
What we'll be doing:
Volunteers will be assigned throughout the course as Cheerers/Course Marshalls!
What you should know:
Water, coffee, fruit and other snacks will be available throughout the morning! Please do keep in mind that the metro opens at 7AM on the weekends! Please dress comfortably and weather-appropriate as this event is outside and will be taking place rain or shine!
Where to Meet:
Volunteers meet at the Volunteer Check-In Tent located half-way between 4th and 7th streets on the Jefferson Drive side. There will be multiple tents but they will be clearly labeled so look for the Volunteer one to meet up with the One Brick Event Manager. If you arrive after 8am then the folks at the volunteer tent will direct you from there :)
