Event Description:
Bronx Summer Fest on the Boulevard is a Department of Transportation Weekend Walks event that highlights local cultural institutions, non-profits, and economic resources. The events promote healthy, safe recreation, local businesses and create high-quality public space where community members can come together. It is in the style of a block-party where there will be information tables and open areas for activity as well as performances.
What we'll be doing:
Volunteers would be involved in setting up and taking down tables, tents, and chairs as well as assisting supervisors of activities.
What you should know:
Definitely bring a water bottle, and snacks if you think you might want them. There is a place to store your belongings.
Where to Meet:
We'll meet at WHEDCo's offices at 1301 Louis Nine Blvd, which is just a short walk from the 2 and 5 train station at Freeman Street.
